This seller is advertising this coin as an 1876 Three Cent Silver.

Message: Coin is listed as a: 1876 Three Cent Silver. It is not a silver coin.
Three Cent Silver coins were only made from until 1873.
This coin is a 1876 Three Cent Nickel.

There are Soooooo many people selling 3CN as silver that I always just assume that it's only due to ignorance of the unpopular series.

Most people think that if it's old and white metal then it's silver. It also happens with Shield nickels but not as much as with 3CN.
