Definitely an N-2 die variety which is an R.1. There are only two varieties of the head of 1838, 2 and 3. Both coins have the beaded cord in the hair. I'll give the coin an EAC grade of VG-10.
Just for duncanbishop24's sake I'll explain that EAC is short for Early American Copper. We're a collectors society dedicated to collecting copper coins. Large cents, Half Cents, post colonial coins and tokens. We grade Copper very strictly.
Back to the attribution, I'll say:
1839 N-2 R.1 10/10.
