CC-Ottawa Pillar of the Community Canada 3690 Posts	Posted 03/16/2015 1:41 pm Of course. Who wouldn't want them at 1/2 price. They are one millimetre smaller than the original Birds of Canada series. I don't think size is the big issue. I do think they are over priced for their weight and/or the mintage is too high. The other knock, and it is a big one IMO, is they appear to be CC&C contrived coins. My other concern is the continuation of the series beyond five coins. The original bird series went on too long. And we've seen the mint ruin other series (ducks and O Canada come to mind) by issuing a disjointed second or third phase of a series. I would be ok with 5 coins but I'm not interested in 2016 or 2017 sets coming out later. Report this Post to the Staff
