I ran across the ad from a 1910 issue of The Numismatist. Oh for these prices...especially at the bottom of the 2nd column.

I have a Red Book from 1963, once in a while I go through it and droll at those prices..

You know what's worse? Those prices are basically an hour's pay at a middle-class wage for that day. Labor was a Quarter an hour. Can you buy a nice Thaler for an hour, or even a day, worth of pay today?
