I'm curious which year coins would go in this 3 coin holder, or is it more of a generic holder?

It appears to be a holder designed for the US Bicentennial quarter, half dollar and dollar from 1975-76.

I thought the same but I am curious as to the lack of printing.
The word 'Bicentennial' should be prominent somewhere.

Maybe the manufacturer was hoping for a larger market to sell to rather than just bicentennial collectors. I've seen a number of "unlabeled" holders with patriotic graphics advertised as bicentennial holders but that could be used for any three-piece set of quarter/half/dollar.

I agree. Initially intended for for a bicentennial set, but forward thinking made it usable for more generic purposes.
