What would you consider the grade on this? I have been told that is a lamination on the front by the date. I think XF40.

I agree XF40. Not sure what's going on at the date. Looks like something was on the die when it was struck

I've seen this coin before. Hard to forget the mark. Was it on ebay?

I am not sure. Several have said it is a lamination but some have said it maybe a strike-through.
