Need Help With NGC Pop - Coin Community Forum

Ive been trying to find the pop report for many coins like the Athenian Owl and havent been able to find the pop report for any ancient coins. I would really appreciate any help. They're to be handled (well, except the mint gold). Any population report will be wildly inaccurate - not only because we dont know how many were made, but we also dont know how many are still underground. Even if you could count them all, you'd still never know its real rarity. Hoards, especially, really throw the rarities of some issues out the window. Report this Post to the Staff

It seems many anicent coins are slabbed for protection and to make sure they are legit etc. I'mnot too familiar when it comes to grading but what I was really trying to find out was the grades that all coins that have been graded have received. I know of many grading companies that do so to let a person know how rare a certain grade is etc. Report this Post to the Staff
