I am kinda weird with this. As far as 1 cent coins go I want perfect nice red and shinny. And for my 50 cent collection I love the lower grades (G-04 to F-15) from 1870 to 1936 then after that I want mint state only.

What about you guys?

Same thing here. It's not really "all or nothing". I just like it all worn or mint state.

Because I collect for the "unknown history" of each coin (who could have had it in their pocket and where, etc), I have my whole collections in XF-AU if I can. I do not like mint white or mint red coins.

I do like to have a mint state coins from 1952 and older, but only a few (just to see it in such a state). But I do have a lot of Vf-AU coins because of the history in it
