Another coin I want to show you, its my first silvered follis.
I didnt know it was silvered (not in the sellers description) till I received it 2 days ago.

I cant find the exact id yet..

Reign: Maximianus Emperor, A.D. 286-310.
Denomination: Silvered Follis.
Diameter: 27 mm.
Weight: 11.00 grams.
Obverse: IMP. C. M. A. MAXIMIANVS P. F. AVG.; Head, laureate, right.
Reverse: GENIO POPVLI ROMANI, Genius standing left holding patera, from which liquor flows, & cornucopiae; in field to left, S; to right, B.

Check GALERIUS coins if its not in the Maximianus list.
I have 1 that I thought was MAX and it turned out to be issued by Galerius.

It is Maximianus (the obverse legend is correct) I only cant find the S-B combination without ex. There is 1 with is being sold on vcoins but without ric as well..

Looks like an "Invasion" follis to me.
I am a bit fuzzy on the subject but if you google Bobby's (aka Ian's) article on the topic you will find his short discourse.
A very nice looking coin with a not so flattering photo. Just the way I like to buy them.

Dutch ...... did you steal this one too ? We are really going to have to get you some help
for this kleptomania phase you are going through !

It looks like RIC VI Siscia 76b to me although your reverse legend break is not listed, not a hugely uncommon thing.

It was minted in 294AD :)

Thanks for the right RIC guys! I wasnt sure after seeing 76b on wildwinds but there are so many variations on these coins!
