I'm planning on buying this 1878 $5 note. It's gonna be very costly at $700 but I'm not to sure if it's worth it. I always have a hard time making decisions what do you guys think about this wonderful note below?

This has always been one of my favorite notes. I'm sure you will love it.
Only you can make the final decision.
It looks to be a very nice specimen.

Beautiful note... So much character... My only knock on this note is the bad cut along the bottom or is all these notes cut that way?... But other than that, it is a really nice looking note in great condition...

It looks to be in great condition! My only question is whether it has been graded/certified by a professional third-party grading company. I don't usually worry about that for lower end notes, but if you're going to spend that much money for one in such nice condition, you might want to think about it to avoid the chance of getting a reproduction.

No it's not graded. I've bought from this seller before. My last purchase with him was a high grade 1880 $5 woodchopper in PMG 63. I do plan on getting it graded. I think it might get 58+.
