To me, it appears to be a 7/6 overdate but I cannot find any evidence of an overdate existing for this year on the penny. Any thoughts or opinions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! Tryna Pillar of the Community United States 937 Posts	Posted 04/03/2015 4:30 pm Peck wrote a book describing the copper coins in (I think it was) British Museum. It is said to be extremly complete, and it is out of print and very expensive. Even if there is a known 7/6 variety the condition of your coin is less than stellar. Personally I think what I see near the seven is damage, not an overcut 6, but I am not an expert by any means. Report this Post to the Staff
