2008 Lucky Loonie - 2 Different Colors?

I had the luck of working and living up in Canada for two years and during that time I tried to collect the The Vancouver 2010 Circulation Coin set by RBC. It's the 17 coin set and the only one I missed was the 2008 Lucky Loon. As I search the internet I see what appears to be two different colors. Is there or is it just the lighting/photo? The picture in the coin folder where the missing coin should go appears to be golden in color kind of matching the 2010 Lucky Loonie color. Please advise how I might be able to get my hands on one of these?

Hi John

There are two different coins. The golden colored circulation coin that you are looking for. Just do a search on ebay for "2008 Lucky Loonie" and you'll find lots for under $5:
2008-Lucky-Loonie---2-Different-Colors?

And the sterling silver NCLT coin like this:

The circulation toonies do tarnish easy and that may be the difference in colour you are looking at.

Thanks for the quick replies. I've been looking on ebay and that's where I caught the different colors. It's got to be the variance based on the photos or in circulation. Thanks again. Off to ebay.
