I bought a new sestertius of postumus.

Cant really find the right reference, the legend of the obverse and fits with a dupondius of 24mm and the rest fits with a reduced double sestertius reference.

Anyways, I like it!

I haven't got one of them yet.
Very nice coin Dutch!
I can't believe it only weighs 9 grams! That means theoretically a sestertius would be around 4.5 grams!

Nice coin, I can't read the entire reverse legend but if it's VICTORIAE AVE it would be a match for RIC 166.

Great coin ! Most unusual reverse too with a peculiar style.

It goes without saying that you 'stole' this one too.
Do you wear a mask when you place the bid ?

Dutch - Great example. I would think the reduced size and weight of the denomination is a direct reflection of the geopolitical situation of the time. I tend to see these coins in VG to F condition. I think it would safe to say yours is better than most. kudos to your coin.

Thanks Nathan, nice examples of these postumus sestertii are scarce and expensive, this was an affordable alternative for me, with an unusual reverse.

Nice sestertius - from what I have seen, Postumus sestertii do not come much better than this.
