I got this ECU coin that I cannot find in any google search. It's slightly larger than a Morgan dollar, about as thick and the ring is lower, but it looks like nickel on the surface. Does anyone know anything about it? The edge is plain except from a partial and small inscription.

Here's the only match I could find, on a German bidding site:

The ECU stands for European Currency Unit, the defunct precursor to the Euro that never saw official use. From what I could piece together, this may have circulated at the 1992 olympics much like Disney dollars circulate at Disney parks.

No, not at all.
I think that is only a token or medal to get profit of a foreign event...
There are a lot of countries that minted coins celebrating the "Spanish Olympics Games" of Barcelona 92 but I can assure to you that all those "coins" never circulated in Spain...

I was thinking it might be a medal, too. Nothing showed up when I searched for coin atleast.
Checked its weight and it clocked in on 22 grams, no idea what that is in Imperial mesurements. (My morgan weighs 27 grams)
From those numbers I feel even more confident it isn't silver.
