Thought u bullion guys would like to see this plus... I can't find a thing about it online. Can anyone help on what the heck it is or has anyone ever seen one of these? I'm assuming it was a promo. Maybe I should contact 76 HQ... Your thoughts?   |

Nice promotion  A grain of gold is equal to .065 grams, at today's spot it would be worth $2.47. Back in 1981, gold was worth about half of what it is now, so buy 100 gallons of gas and get $1.23 in gold. Nice!  |

Kind of a useless amount of gold. How much did that cost you whenever you bought it, just curious of the premium for such a small cut?

Can't remember where I got it but I'm sure I can get around $20-$50 for it. More as a rare Petroliana advertising piece than for the gold content though

Heck of a profit for something only worth $2.47 cents... I have seen these before just in different packaging... |

It's not the amount of gold that gives it value bryan. It's the unique gas & oil advertising aspect
