I tried both before I bought the 250. I also spoke to a friend of the family who works in the publishing department for Garrett and he told me the 250 was a significantly better machine. I have to admit its very simple to use and for a budget machine its performed admirably. I will be upgrading mine next year when I have found enough coins to pay for the next model up.

thanx I'm already really happy with my 150 I pretty much just wanted the pin point option which it doesn't have I was also wondering about the accept & reject buttons if you accept a coin but reject a pull tab (which rings up as coin) does it actually work

happy turkey day

The reject button is great for areas of high trash. If I am in no hurry I will reject everything except quarters or better and scan the area once all the finds have been dug I will do the same for pennies and dimes etc.
It means scanning the area several times but it stops you from digging every buried coke can.
The Pull tab rejection works about 80% of the time and makes it much easier to find those Nickels. The only problem is gold Jewelry also falls in the Pull Tab range.
Pinpoint has reduced my dig time from minutes to seconds. Coins I can just flip with a screwdriver without having to dig.
Hope this helps...
