No surprise, what a beautiful, inspirational coin. Reminds me of that great John Wayne movie, "The Sands of Iwo Jima".

Hope no one glancing at the headline gets the wrong idea. Often, the word "Sellout" is delivered with a negative connotation.

I keep forgetting to ask Dad if his has come in yet. This is one coin I'd like to see up close and personal. I don't usually get too excited about modern commems, but I may be kicking myself for letting this one get away! [:0]

I got the mint postcard telling me that shipping would be delayed a few days ago. Sorta wishing I'd ordered a sf uncir as well as the proof now

I agree with Daniel on this one. A beautiful, simple design that came out superb.
I ordered both versions of this coin & I like the Unc. just as much as the Pr. which is unusual for me.
I've always been attracted to the subject & I wish that liberty & freedom were depicted more in this manner.

I ordered my limit on all of the commems and sets, except the Marshall/Marine....too much $$$
