It is amazing what some of these sell for on ebay, I got probably 10 of these I found roll searching. I bought a large lot of "varieties-errors" and this was one of the ones in it, it had cracked skulls from 1956-1960. Sometimes you can cherry pick a 1955P-1DO-002 from someone who does not know the value of them and calls it a poormans DDO. I almost had a 002 a couple months ago on ebay, someone else must have noticed what it was and beat my high bid. Report this Post to the Staff

It is a coin struck from a very worn and deteriorated die. Very common on many coins of the 50s and 60s but it was hyped as a way to fill in the hole that was placed in coin albums for the real 1955 DDO coin. Report this Post to the Staff
