Hi all,

I am finally searching the coins in my house I have a few buckets of pennies-quarters.

I am starting with the pennies pulling out all pre-1982. But what do I do with the 82's? Are they copper? Or do I just throw in with all the others?

Also which Jeffersons should I keep? Only the 35% ones and whatever is before them?

I just spent a week scoping about 30,000 pennies.

1982 had both copper and zinc cents made. The only way to tell for sure which is which is to weigh them The coppers weigh more (3.1 grams vs 2.5 grams)
