The new monster Red Book just hit my P.O. Box this morning and it's HUGE! 1504 pages of numismatic glory.

That is huge! I bet anyone could learn something from that. I can't imagine carrying it to a flea market or something so if you see a coin you can look up its value.

So...what exactly is in this book that's not in a regular RedBook? More pictures? Additional info? Varieties?

Very nice! Another thing on my list of things I will get if and when my budget allows. Quote: So...what exactly is in this book that's not in a regular RedBook? More pictures? Additional info? Varieties? https://goccf.com/t/201045#1852931

Quote: How heavy is it exactly? 10 pounds? Can't say the exact weight, but it is heavier than the Standard Catalog of World Coins.

I thought the standard RedBook was a concise tome of info. But this definitely takes it to another level.

@ Celtic...... Are the Colonial/copper sections worth having?

Quote: Are the Colonial/copper sections worth having? To the seasoned copper collector probably not. The colonial section is a little bit expanded from the standard Red Book but not much. The section on Half Cents is very cool with full color plates of most known varieties. The early large cent section has full color plates of all the Sheldon varieties. Unfortunately the middle and late date large cents have no Newcomb varieties just the major varieties in the standard Red Book.

Maybe next year they'll do the middle date variety plates.
