Due to the rise of laminations being posted here, here's a really strange nickel I found. Is it a lamination error? What are these strange lines?

Maybe a prestrike lamination.

What really has me confused is these perfectly uniform lines that don't look like PMD and appear under the lamination. Is this possibly a "Woody" nickel that just so happens to be perfectly up and down and has pealed?
