That Twenty Cent Piece is uncommonly seen as love tokens. Some years ago, I encountered a coin dealer who was assembling a U.S. type set, consisting of love tokens. He told me that the last one he needed to complete that set was a Twenty Cent Piece. I had one and sent it to him for $30 - just what I had into it. That's a challenging set to assemble.

BTW ... Quality work on these specimens, Gyrene.

Those are beauties! The only one I have left is my necklace piece... an 1849-54 $1 gold piece. Too bad it was a rev. dated coin that the design wiped away but still... I'm sure you've seen this site but for those that haven't there are great pics and history about LT's

Those are cool Gyrene. I think my favorite is the 20 cent piece.
