I find it irritating that sellers who offer combined shipping rates don't have an "add to cart" button so you can pay for your purchases all at once and get the combined shipping discount. ALL the BIN listings require immediate payment giving you no opportunity to add additional items to your order, at least in my experience.

That is a seller preference which they can specify. You have the choice whether or not to require immediate payment for a BIN, and I think "require payment" is the default. Otherwise someone can snag the coin and walk away without paying, leaving you in the lurch. The coin doesn't even leave display when that happens, leading to angry customers who see it, want it, and can't buy it.

I have no explanation other than stupidity why someone would offer combined shipping without stopping that feature.

I have contacted a number of sellers who had coins I was interested in. None of them knew what I was talking about. Canadian coin listings are limited so it doesn't leave me a lot of choice of who to buy from.

Beats me. I've known about this, and used it, since 1999. My most recent auctions ended Sunday and that choice was still available to me when I wrote them. Is ebay.ca different?

I am not sure. You can still see Canada listings on the US ebay site. You would think experienced sellers would know such things but apparently they do not. Very sad indeed...
