I can not speak for this coin specifically, but I have purchased several coins from this seller and they were let's say better than pictured. His photos tend to be a bit over-exposed.

It almost looks photoshopped?

Mac's not the best of photographers, but I'd buy his stuff sight-unseen anyway. That's a tremendous strike, off-center, on a Mint State Peace dollar and somebody just became a very happy camper for that price. Wish it were me. I don't have the money to buy coins right now but I'd have borrowed it to buy this one for that money. I'd have doubled that money without hesitation.

Quote: It almost looks photoshopped? That's what I was thinking. Sort of makes it questionable about bidding on it.

It's sharply struck, but it looks way too lustrous and has a thumbprint. The price is right I think.
FWIW my local brick & mortar shop was buying common dollars for $15, selling culls for $18.50 and commons for $20 yesterday. 90% silver 13x buying, 15x selling.

The thumbprint is reasonable evidence of original surfaces despite Mac's photography, and don't forget this is a seller many of us recommend without hesitation.

Maybe this is better as a separate post and please sepetate if so but do fingerprints cause details grades? Aren't they generally a bad thing?

Fingerprints are a bad thing because they're permanent. You can't remove them. Details-grading a fingerprinted coin is a judgement call depending on the perceived severity of the resulting appearance; I've seen Details slabs labeled "Fingerprint" and righteous slabs with one.

Well, you'd mentioned needing a 1926-P. Think you got it.

The Peace dollars I have bought from ebay at least 2 out of 6 times looked different when I got them than when I bid on them. Much darker in color and more worn. I think I will stick to my local coin shop or coin shows. At least if I overpay I know what I am getting. The ebay sellers almost never specify condition. You are buying a pig in a poke.
