First Coin Design
The first coin in your subscription was designed by two Canadian artists, Tony Bianco and Arnold Nogy, and represents a stormy natural landscape. A lone eastern white pine, shaped by steady winds, rises from a small rocky island in Ontario's Georgian Bay. In the distance, stylized forests cower under a stormy sky that seems to glow with energy as Mother Nature unleashes her power. Viewing the reverse under a black light (included) activates the coin's specialized technology, allowing the lightning bolts to radiate across the sky with a stunning life-like intensity and exceptional luminosity.

Packaging
Your coins are encapsulated and presented in a Royal Canadian Mint-branded maroon clamshell with a black beauty box.

For some reason, this reminds me of the sets that Franklin Mint used to put out decades ago, although they would usually have a dozen or more medals in the series.
Rest in Peace

I'm feeling like a chump. Just wondering if anyone here has ordered any singles from the Weather Phenomenon series? Reading the 1st post in this thread and looking at the RCM web site, it looks like each coin come in its own clamshell case. Anyone that has ordered the singles, did you get the coin in a clamshell? I've subscribed to the series. Each coin I receive comes in one of those cheap little clear envelopes. I would think everyone would get the same unless there is a case for the entire series. Committed to spending $400 bucks, and no case. Why chump those who committed to the whole series by giving them cheaper packaging?

@rjlavoie - this is normal with every subscription! Clams come only when you are ordering singles. But isn't there a box for the set?

This series includes a case for those who formally subscribe? Rjlavoie, it sure seems so, a pleasant surprise for you, I wish I had known. I didn't notice anything saying so in the advertising so I've ordered mine one by one and received each in a single clamshell case, planning on buying a lighthouse 4-coin glass lid case.
