Found this while searching through some rolls I acquired on-line months ago and have no idea what caused it. I've searched every variety book I own and even searched the web until I found the end of the Internet

Any thoughts on what caused this?

Thanks,
Bill

It looks like it took a long tumble in a clothes dryer.

Yep, I think the rim was rolled...notice how it's folded in on itself?
I saw something similar on an ebay auction (300180871503)

Makes perfect sense.....rim is folded inwards on both sides and overall the coin is in bad shape. Looks like it lost the fight with the dryer.
