First bit of old copper I found and thought I'd share to wet your copper apatite... appears to be an 1835 and possibly a dug coin. Is this a good date or variety if u can tell?

Interesting find. Is this part of the recent group you have been tasked with cataloging?

Definitely a "dug" coin. Unfortunately the details are too obscured to be able to attribute it properly.
