It was actually held in Plantation and I went this past Sunday with my little brother for a couple of hours and we had a great time, especially my bro. Nothing pricey on our budget but we both got some ancients and my bro also got US and some foreign, some of it given free to him at the kids table (he's 12). Here is what I got. First two are from the higher end dealer we went to (he had primarily US some ancients), the rest I picked from a small junk bin another seller had who mostly dealt with modern foreign. I'll try to add attributions when I have more time later. Was only able to shoot the first two before my camera died, so the rest was shot with my phone. Constantine I, Rome mint Manius Cordius Rufus, Rome mint Leo I Valentinian I or II imitative (bought it thinking it might have been a Val III but some quick research disproved that) Justin I imitative(?), with Chi-Rho reverse (pretty much why I got it) My first Nabataean, of Aretas IV

That's a nice Constantine 1, but there is a tiny amount of bronze disease that needs to be stopped.
The others I would have lots of fun fully writing up. If you do this yourself, it is possible to double their value.
I have about 60 rather ratty early Roman silver to late bronzes and Byzantine bronzes, taken from junk bins, now fully described, which I might sell on to get one or two nicer ancients.

I poked those spots and they are hard and don't flake off, so they seem safe to me. Thanks for the advice sel.

No. Way.
I was there too!
You're local? I'm near central park. 3 mins away from the show. If your little brother is 12 how old are you?
Haha I'm still old enough to go to the kids section, with my little brother.

Kidīs table? In Spanish numismatic conventions thatīs SCI-FI... Usually the dealers donīt feel concerned about teaching youngers on ancient coins... With rare exceptions they are quite unpolite with "newbies".

Yes Ploopy I am local, Tamarac to be exact. Good to see another collector in the immediate area. I'm 23 so even if I did still collect US coins, I would have been way too old for the kids table anyways lol. The guy running it was really polite and generous, so next time my bro and I are back there we will pay him a visit if he is there.

Awesome. I'm in plantation. lol yeah I've got 1 more year before I'm too old for the kids table lol, but my brother will be able to go for a few more years. The guys at the table are very generous and always help out. They will always be there! Glad to meet some people that go to the same show as me. I'm a year older than your brother though :) we should meet up next time! That would be cool!

If it weren't people like the dealer at the kids table and forums such as this one, coin collecting would go the way of the dinosaurs.

Visigothking, I think that you are right, day to day we are fewer collectors... some of them died, others empovered by the crisis, and there are no renewal generation of newbies! Ancient coin collecting is a hobby for people who wants to learn about history, art, humankind evolution... In my country the new students are less and less cults year after year
