I just received my grade notice from PCGS on a couple of "raw" submittals. Most were good news...more to follow...just a little teaser.

Well, doesn't a CAC just mean it should be in a higher grade slab to begin with? Congrats!

A CAC sticker just means that John Albanese and crew have determined that the coin is solid for the grade. It is not a + or * designation. As far as I'm concerned I'd rather have a lower graded CAC coin.

I originally purchased this Capped Bust Half as a PCGS AU53 CAC and just had a feeling that it was better than that. So I (gasp) cracked it out and sent it in as a "raw" (with a few others) and the result was a gain of a grade to AU55.

I bet it will earn a CAC green sticker as a 55 if sent back to them!
