I'm thinking about creating a short year set of canadian non silver nickels and small cents but I don't know how many coins that were include in each since I don't know canadian series. Were there ever mint marks and is there any major varieties I could include.
I got a decent score and start on it at the coin store today. I think I got part of a dumped collection they wasn't interested in or some sort of old tourist stash.
I get to go through their junk cup of non silver Canadian coins that they take back to Canada to be spent on trips at face. I get to buy whatever in the cup at half it's face value in the US or I can trade 1:1 for large denominational coins for their cents and nickels with quarters etc that I happen to find on magnets etc.
I looked today and it was full of cents and nickels, quickly looking it over I saw one dating 1920 so I aggreed to buy all the nickels and cents 1:1 at about $8 in junk canadian coins I have found. Anyways I got over 18 George V cents with only one repeat year in about vf condition. I also found like a pound and a half of George IV nickels and cents.
I know they aren't worth much in worn condition but I can't beat the price 1:1 for money I find that I can't spend. Though even if I paid US .005 cent for a almost 100 year coin it would be great.
