It says "copy" right on it, as required by the Hobby Protection Act.

At least this one has "COPY" stamped on it -- I wonder what portion of fake dollars on ebay are this honest?

Seems a reasonable conclusion that it's fake, then.

It says "copy" on the reverse. Even if it didn't, the reverse letters are wrong and the year looks off.

Eh for $.06 and free shipping not a bad deal for a fake. At least has the mark. Wish other sellers would be as honest sometimes.. haha

I'm curious though if it's a copy made in real silver. Says it weighs 27G. If it was then you could possibly made a few bucks picking it up and then just dumping it for scrap.

I honestly looked at the 1 pic for a while, but only added both pics after the fact....
Funny thing is, I carry an exact copy like this on my keychain that says "COPY" too....
Goes to show you how easy you can overlook something so important on a coin!

At 27 grams it is too heavy, probably a pewter alloy with some lead in it. (A lead and tin alloy of the proper proportions has the same SG as silver.)

Yeah but it's only too heavy by like.....3/10ths of a gram? I was thinking maybe there was a margin for error there I mean it's not like they used the exact same coin dies as a real Morgan dollar.

Was not intending mockery, sorry. I was just wondering because you can't really tell sarcasm through text.

I once thought a Large One Cent was a Half Cent because I thought the fraction was 1/200, totally ignoring the "ONE CENT" right above it hahaha.
