US Mint - The United States Mint will open sales for the 2015 First Spouse Series One-Half Ounce Gold Coins - Mamie Eisenhower on May 7 at noon Eastern Daylight Time (EDT).

The obverse (heads side) design features a striking portrait of Mrs. Eisenhower with the inscriptions "MAMIE EISENHOWER," "IN GOD WE TRUST," "LIBERTY," "2015," "34th," and "1953 - 1961."

The reverse features a woman's hand holding up a political campaign button with the slogan "I Like Mamie," referring to Mrs. Eisenhower's popularity as first lady, her involvement in her husband's presidential campaigns, and the popular campaign slogan "I Like Ike." Inscriptions are "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "I LIKE MAMIE," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," "$10," "1/2 OZ.," and ".9999 FINE GOLD."

The Mamie Eisenhower First Spouse Gold Coins are being struck at the United States Mint at West Point in proof (product code JQ3) and uncirculated (product code JQ4) qualities. Mintage will be limited to no more than 10,000 units across all product options, with customer demand determining the ratio of proof coins to uncirculated coins produced.

Pricing for these coins will be based on the United States Mint pricing structure for numismatic products containing gold, available at http://catalog.usmint.gov/coins/gold-coins.
