Hello, I'm awful new at this coin rolling and collecting, but I am wondering if someone here can help me. I have the 1915 Charlton Standard CDN coin book and have been looking at is as I go through rolls of nickels. It appears to me that a 1965 nickel I have is a Large Bead example. (Boy! I hope so!!) Can anyone identify it for sure from these pictures? I would greatly appreciate the help. I hope the picture are not too blurry, but I believe they are sufficient if one knows what he is looking at. Thanks, *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

With my blury eyes and the blury pictures, I would guess that it is small bead. Need a picture of the back of the Queen's head to see if the jewels are attached or not to confirm.

Thanks for your help.
I apologize for the bad pictures. I must get a better set up for taking photos.
The Charlton book shows the large beads if you go by the II in Elizabeth II. The right edge of the left I lines up with a bead, and not in between beads. This is what I was trying to determine by the pictures. I am unaware of how to tell about attached jewels in the back of the queen's head. Thanks again,

Hello JimmyD I am hoping this picture can give you the info you need to be able to tell what this nickel is. It's the best I can do with it. Thanks,

You could count the beads one has 119 and the other has 138. I got my fingers crossed for you.
Cheers, SIC

Sorry- Too blurry. Need sharp enlarged picture to tell. As suggested, count the beads. The Larger Variety has 138 beads.
Good Luck
