Just finished watching the movie "Sahara" (yes we are in region 4 and movie releases takes forever before they are released downunder) and a gold coin was shown in the movie. Is this coin real or is it just a fantasy coin

The main coin displayed in the movie is a $20 Gold Confederate States of America coin. This coin would technically be considered a "Fantasy" piece.
The Confederate Government authorized 4 coins, the Cent, Half Dollar, Half Eagle ($5) and Double Eagle ($20).

There are:
12 original CSA Cents
4 orignal CSA Half Dollars

There are NO KNOWN original strikes of any gold.
