Need some help ID'ing this medal/medallion. I think it is Japanese and it commemorates a ship launch? Any info would be appreciated!

Medal to commemorate the completion of the boat Kakuyo-maru in June 1975 (Showa 50, 6th month)
Under the boat is the name in Chinese characters, and on the other side at the bottom is written Nagasaki University Faculty of Fisheries.
Apparently it was used for training students how to catch tuna etc.
