".I am disappointed in the way the Congress compiled this legislation, including abandoning the goal I set early this year to reduce the number and cost of earmarks by half. Instead, the Congress dropped into the bill nearly 9,800 earmarks that total more than $10 billion. These projects are not funded through a merit-based process and provide a vehicle for wasteful Government spending."

And you signed it anyway... bravo...

Why do you think politicians DO "NOT" WANT THE PRESIDENT TO HAVE "LINE ITEM VETO" LOL HA HA Because they like to put in all this "pork" and stuff for their state's benefit. Then if you "DON'T" sign the bill which started out as a good bill........ you're a bad guy and didn't support a certain bill ! They don't mention that you didn't sign a particular bill because of the "extra" stuff that is sneaked in there and you have to take ALL or NONE of it........ No matter who has the majority and the White House, it's been that way for quite some time.......I believe Clinton had it for awhile and then it was taken away.
It's too bad that Congress can't realize that we're sick to death of THEM and there selfish interests that don't reflect the majority of the country....... illegal immigration for starters
anyway........... I LIKE COINS ? COINS ARE COOL ! (lol ha ha)

I love my coins as well, especially the US issues. Regardless of who is on them, I look at them and am reminded of the most important gift we've ever been given. Liberty. Our Constitution is a beautiful tribute to Liberty. Our elected officials may have lost their way, but everything has a breaking point. I pray We the People make a stand before it is too late. Vote for change, not the status quo!

hear ! hear ! The "Leave it to Beaver" days of America are gone forever, and we could lose our national identity if we don't get ahold on things...... Coins are a good way for Americans to keep that close and remember.......... even brand new "legal" immigrants can indoctrinate themselves into our society through all kinds of ways. Coin collecting is a good "teacher" I think.

I agree. Coin Collecting gave me an interest in history. I was always curious as to who these people were and why they were on my money, so I read up on them and their place in history. When it came time to take history classes in high school and later in college, I not only had an edge, but something to offer the class.
