Nice coin, but a ratty patina.
Probably been resting on wood with a high resin content for too long.

'Don't clean coins'. Perhaps this one could do with a quick dip.
I also collect ancient coins where in most cases they have to be cleaned after recovery from ground burial. This factor probably makes my mind more amenable to cleaning modern coins when there is little risk to a loss in value.

sel_691 has it, a quick little dip would help I think as well as a 100 % acetone dip just to be sure, it is definitely worth trying to save and possibly submitting as it appears to be a lustery example of the arnpior variety, DO NOT clean it though, just a quick dip and then some acetone. if actually UNC which I think it could easily be it is worth at least a couple hundred dollars plus.

Personally I wouldn't touch it. The way it looks makes it unique although until held in hand it's difficult to judge appearance. Not every coin needs to be blast white, and not quite sure what the obsession is with having coins look that way. Secondly, I wouldn't be surprised if the darker spots wouldn't come out through dipping. Last but not least, you never know what gets uncovered under the toning that can completely kill the coin. I'm not against dipping in certain cases but be careful what you wish for.

Don't dip it. Coin will probably look worse than if not dipped.
Cleaning a coin makes it nice and shinny, but it kills it soul.

Acetone alone should be tried first.
