At long last I managed to snag one. Barely any patina left but nice clear details and for the price, I am happy.

Africa standing to left in elephant headdress, holding standard and tusk, lion with captured bull at feet Gamma in left field
Mint Carthage PKT
Date 297 AD

This cost me less than £23 plus shipping.

I could have got almost the same coin (different dies) from vcoins for £129, or the same seller also has it on ebay where I could BIN £175.

So either I did exceptionally well, or the other seller is somewhat optimistic.

Combination of both !

Carthage is always good ! With either London or Carthage you generally pay a premium.
Throw in the 'Africa' reverse and you pay even more !

Too bad we can't find a London mint mark with an Africa reverse !
If you do find one ...... I would call it a "Fantasy Follis"

Silver argenteii are occasionally available for this Emperor. I have seen some in auction catalogs in recently.
There are four (billon?) examples on vcoins for as little as $75 each.

I suspect they would be beyond my budget for now.

I always liked how the Roman and Greeks would personify and assimilate a "province"
Very nice coin Pish!

Thanks AM. Shame about the patina, but for the price I am not complaining.
