What is recommended for a Canadian cent album (large and/or small cents)? I checked the primary album manufacturers and didn't see a Canadian cent album listed. Is there a decent one out there?

perfect, many thanks. But the $30 shipping charge for a coin album makes me want to keep my 2x2's.

I purchase my Whitman folders for $4 each and with my Amazon prime account, got free shipping a couple weeks ago. Good luck!

I am also looking at buying a newer version of the later Canadian cents, as well as the newest quarter folder or album. The Whitman (Harris) cent folder I have does not list the final years of the cent correctly. I have searched online and found updates but I'm disappointed that I can't find any listings that show interior pictures of the folders, and also they lack descriptions of what coins are included.

Do they list ALL of the final years coins, or just some of them? Do they have all the mint marks (plain, "P", and " RCM")? Do they include all the magnetic AND non-magnetic types? Do they include "PL" versions?

I'd hate to buy replacement folders for my current ones and find that they lack all of my needs. I'm thinking of driving south to Canada (Windsor) to find some for sale somewhere. I'm not sure where to look: a bookstore, a bank, the postal office? If anyone here has any good suggestions I (and I'm assuming others) would appreciate them. Thanks in advance!

The Whitman folders I have are decent; they don't list all the varieties and the second book does not have the 2012 series, but most are there. They list for the magnetic and non-magnetic from 2002 forward, but only the P designation; not RCM. And where only the RCM produced cents should be, the P is listed. Soooo....they're decent but not complete or accurate.

Good luck atticguy!

Rackster, it looks like you have the old type also, what is what I'm trying to replace. Whitman has released an updated "final" cent folder, but like I said, I would like to see it before buying one.

I used a Dansco "cents" album for my Canadian small cents. They fit just fine. I then made custom labels for the dates and varieties.

Looks like it atticguy. Skyshark's solution might be the way to go; get a nice album and a decent label maker and create your own, complete album. For the time being, the varieties that weren't accounted for in the folders got their own 2x2 flips. The hybrid solution.

I just got back from one of the local coin shows and nobody there had the new coin folders, but I did see the new Whitman quarter folder. I'm not sure I like it. It does have six holes for the 2011 Parks Canada quarters, but only has four holes for the "War of 1812" coins (there should be eight). I think I'll keep using my homemade folder for now.

It's interesting though; album/folder manufacturers determining which/what coins to include and which to omit. I suspect for a casual collector/non-collector, these folders/albums exceed needs. Folks like these aren't likely to complete a set or worry/learn about varieties. Can't have them all, but you'd figure at least the major ones get the nod.

I too have been searching for a Canadian Small Cent Album. Not a Folder. At a coin show today a dealer that has a coin store said he has one but thinks it has coins in it. I told him to bring it to the next show and I'll buy it and the coins. Hope he does.

Found some at https://www.jandm.com/script/getite...D=15&PID=156 J and M Coin and Jewellry. See, also, http://www.ebay.com/itm/Uni-Safe-Un...371029682163

I ordered some Unimaster albums. These are those for which the coin is put into a pocket in a sleeve, then the sleeve is inserted into the page. I was unable to find the composition of the sleeve to ensure that it has no PVC for gassing and harm to the coins.

Anybody know if these {newer, hopefully} Unimaster albums have any PVC?

The Lighthouse/Vista ones look much nicer, but . . .
