I found this one a few weeks ago.

It looks like a misaligned die with a partial collar strike.

Any input from the experts?

It looks MAD on both sides,wouldn't that make it an off center planchet? The edge I don't know.

It's weakly struck on the reverse, not Off Center. This is normal for a MAD.

I found another 1983 MAD and partial collar today.

Must have been something going on with the press that day.

If you CRH check all of your 1983P's.

Ken,does the misalignment keep the collar from fully ejecting? Causing the partial collar strike?
