"1880 Coiled Hair $4 gold coin for a little under $2 million. That's right, the CAC approved, NGC graded 67 1880 Coiled Hair $4 gold pattern (Stella) sold for $1,821,850. Experts agreed that the price was fair, though the high price tag nevertheless made news"





"A 1933 Indian Head $10 gold coin sold for $822,500.

A 1794 half dollar that was NGC graded at VF-25 sold for $705,000. This was a surprisingly strong price, given that it was over six times the maximum estimates of most experts"
