There is only 1 known large size star note counterfeit.

What is it?

Name the series, the denomination, and for extra credit the serial number.

I love the large size notes but I have to admit I have no clue. Even after to attempt to do some research I still have no clue.

Possibly a Bison Note? Strictly a guess.

Is it a 1917 $1 legal tender note? just a guess.

Or possibly, there are no fakes!

I'll think outside the box and go with the "Rainbow" series for the heck of it.

It was probably printed before 1865

I believe it was the Boston FRN star note of 1914, with incorrect serial number (2 known).

Thanks. I'm a newbie to the forum, can't believe I've been collecting for so long without being a member!

For reference, this note is pictured in Doug Murray's 3rd. edition of US Large Size Star Notes (2007).

According to Murray, there are two, presumably with the same serial number, which starts with the incorrect letter of "B" rather than "A".
