Here are a couple of items I'm hoping someone can help me out with. I'm not sure if they're religious pendants or tourist items.
Can anyone tell me just what these are and maybe more about them?
Can they be dated somehow to a certain period in time? TIA

Cheers, SIC

These look to me like modern souvenirs probably sold for charm bracelets.

IMHO, these appear to be cast pieces, as opposed to being die-struck, using some mixture of pot metal. As such, I'm inclined to believe that these are modern pieces, 1960's or later; likely, sold as mementos to tourists. I don't see these being of any religious significance, per se. Indeed, the mythical images of Romulus and Remus run contrary to religion, I'd say. Knowing the size of the pendants would help in guessing how these were best worn or carried.

Might be more than you want to know http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castel_Sant%27Angelo
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trevi_Fountain time span between the two covers a lot of years. As been said Low cost souvenir trinkets sold as charms or dangles. Likely because of the limited number or amount of the sold they are probably produced by the same company. Like here in the states for the tourist traps. local chambers or biz groups pass out the contact info for all the businesses to be able choice what stuff they sell.
