Hi Members! I am a forum Moderator, better known to most of you as Mike. I am a sort of an an Ad Hoc, self appointed secretary, that spends some sleepless nights tidying things up on the forum. With the recent wave of slow loading episodes that some of us have experienced on the forum lately, came a flood of accidental "double posts". I notice some folks catch them and delete them. Other times they go unoticed, and as the house mouse in me comes out, as well as my having the added ability as a moderator to delete certain things,I in my haste to delete a double post, in fact deleted the whole thread! Rui, with his kindness and wisdom is trying to rebuild the post. It was a contest post from lim118 titled "Incentive for next Milestone" to celebrate the 400th signed on forum member, so it is important that all who signed on for the contest be afforded an opportunity to do so again! My apologies to Lim118 and all the contestants and I hope Lim118 will give everyone a little extra time to make sure they get in if Rui did not recover their entry. Please check the ressurected thread to see if you need to sign up again. Bobby and Susan have suspended all my button priveleges between Midnight and 6 A.M. for six months. They also took away my broom and mop just in case I get "JIGGY". The worst part is I'm only 51! AAAAGGGGHHHHH!!!!! Mike Edited by Mike 10/03/2005 11:41 pm

Problems only stay away from those who do nothing. Those who do, are bound to make some mistake, sometimes with this type of consequences. I'm an admin in several forums and I have deleted user's posts inadvertedly. Things happen, don't chastise yourself over it . I bet that if you promise to drink enough coffee, your midnight-to-six AM previledges will be reinstated soon .

Allright, Susan/Bobby no more pain medication for me after midnight! Can you light up my buttons? I miss them already. Mike, otherwise known as "sweepy"...

I can sympathize! When I was running CoinPeople, I had a few accidental deletions. I have done very similar to what you desribe. Meaning to delete a post and poof an entire thread. It happens no matter how long you have been doing it.

"Only" 51? You're still a kid, but you're already experiencing Senior Moments and other frailties of old age. Wait'll you cross the Big Six-Zero like me. Then you'll know it's time to pack it in! Not only that, you've gotta know that we Senior Citizens need our naps and all the sleep we can get. What're you doing up between Midnight and 6AM anyway? I know this little rest home that I know you'll like... Fred Aging In Arizona Sunshine

"Sweepy", huh? Since you're on such a cleaning kick, maybe I should hire you out to clean my apartment. I don't care about you working midnight to 6am so long as you're quiet! You might have to work around the cat though- Hayley likes my broom for some reason! Glad to hear you got your buttons back, I know how you are with those pretty shiny things! Rachel [:p]

Well, I'm usually cleaning up after Hayley when she knocks something off of a shelf. The broom's too big to use on the coins! Rachel [:p]

Nah. If you stick all those Morgans on a sheet of cardboard with double-sided sticky tape, you can sweep them all off at once, get the worst of the tarnish off them. Then, take some Brillo and Bab-O and polish them to a mint fresh look! Fred

Now you wouldn't be implying that she uses it to get around town would ya?

Absotootly not because if she did she would never give up a coin to put in a parking meter. Now how is that for bringing this thread back to coins. By the way Kyra-do they have parking meters in your town?
