Guys,

I found this while roll hunting, I consider these types of rolls junk and just toss them in the dump pile.

but when I saw this is was curious.

Found-An-Odd-Dime-Error-In-Mint-Roll?

the 2 end coins show the queen on both ends, so I cannot tell which year other than I suspect either 2014 of 2015.

if I open the roll to get a better look, I loose all provenance of the error, but without seeing the coin, how can I know what the issue is?

Have any of you seen this before? did the coin fall into a vat of oil before being rolled up?

Is this an error?

Cheers

I dont think that you will be able to get anything without opening the roll. If it was me, I would crack it open, as the provenance adds no value to the coin other than proof that it was mint state.....which you can tell by looking at the coin anyway.
