Here are a couple of the most challenging ancients that I have found to be identified some are comparatively easy, some hard and some even deceptive. Have a shot at identifying these coins.

Well quite impressive bob l Coin 1, 2 (Elimiote Kingdom), 3 (tetrobol), 4 and 6 are right. 5 isn't correct however it is a double daric. By the way congratulations on getting 2 that was one of the hardest and I didn't expect many to be able to identify it.

That leaves 5, 7 and 8 to be identified

I thought that would be an exceptionally hard one. It is extremely rare, has only been published once, has never been for sale and unfortunately is not mine

I have no idea on the remaining two. I suspect #8 is either Celtic or possibly an Anglo-Saxon sceat...but, really, I'm stumped. You definitely have a sadistic side, oh my florin.

Haha sadistic unfortunately 8 is neither Celtic nor Anglo-Saxon.

Here is a tip look closely at the style and symbolism and you should be able to guess 8. 7 however is one of a kind so may take a little longer cough museum collection cough

Come on everyone going to let Bob L here take all the glory?
