I have 2 1989 Washington quarters with no mint mark, don't even see a trace of one. Are they worth keeping? Selling? Thank you. Jeff
Rest in Peace

No P means Philadelphia Mint. Normal Quarters.

thanks for the pictures, looks like they are fairly common and they are from a Grease Filled Die.I read that back on 1989 people paid anywhere from $ 250 to $ 1000 dollars for them.

Other than the War Nicks, the P was introduced in 1979 to the SBA dollar and all the other denominations except the cent, the following year.

The 1989 No P is really just a minor Strike-Thru (grease). The late Harry Foreman promoted this hot and heavy to a point that "everybody had to have one" and other dealers were handling it in their Coin World and Numismatic News ads and at shows. Harry was the supplier and I'd guess he had thousands. Years later it was all but forgotten but every once in awhile somebody wants one. If I remember correct they were up to around $100 at one time. Today they are worth a fraction of that.
On this one you can see it was Strk-Thru in several places.
