This is a photo from an ebay listing that ended. I didn't bid because I wasn't sure. Unfortunately I didn't save the listing so I don't think I can go back to it but one of the other photos showed some sort of catalog listing for this variety specifically mentioning the (3) inverted V's as well as prices by grade.

They are not inverted V/A, they are as described by canadian-varieties. I was watching this item and was surprised to see how little it fetched. Gone are the days when an unattributed one would easily sell for double that price. Very little interest in 25cent varieties right now.

No, I didn't bid on it either. I agree with the variety slump, I've pretty much stashed mine until the fall except maybe using Buy it Now's only because auctions can be very disappointing right now if you're the seller.

Does anyone know what reference book the page shown in the listing was lifted from?

For those less fluent in french, he says he doesn't recommend getting it from numicanada as it took months and ten messages to finally receive it. They were probably out of stock but didn't mention it before hand. Rather, order it from l'imaginaire (a book store in Quebec).

Thanks. I was wondering what guide would list Chinese counterfeits along with real varieties. It bothers me to see the fakes receive any credibility as collectible items.

In any genre, not all books are noted for their accuracy.
