Since I know little about IHC, I thought someone here might have a seasoned impression of this coin? Does it look legit...or possibly cleaned? There's also more to this coin than at first glance...can you spot it?

The coin looks full EF with a shot at AU the color looks natural in the pic ,,I don't see anything that jumps out at me and says cleaned .

is that a 7 I see peeking out on the date ?

Thanks Metalman. I suspected a cleaned coin might get rid of those deposits.
Anyway, here's what I noticed. The arrow appears to point to a previous SE 8 that I see documented in Fivaz/Stanton's Cherrypicker's Guide.

Check the last 9 in the date ,,it could just be a photo anomoly ,,but there is also a 9 over 7 for that date .

I know what you're talking about, but I think the last 9 on that variety is further from the denticles (imo).

Hehe...all I know comes from reading a book last night!

Since this is a minor RPD, I might skip. But, if anyone else wants it...just let me know where to find it...it's on auction.
