Has anything like this happened to you? I put a $20 bill into a car wash machine for a $6 wash and got back dollar coins. What do you do with a heavy load of dollar coins that you suddenly get in change?

Quote: What do you do with a heavy load of dollar coins...? Hmmm. Is there any possibility that the OP (Henry M. Smith) is actually an alias of Charles Montgomery Burns? Actually, I'd be delighted to suddenly obtain some dollar coins. I can't remember the last time I ever got any from anywhere aside from actually asking for them at the bank. Yes, having 14 in your pants pocket is a little too much, especially thin dress pants. Heavy jeans aren't as much of a problem. Just carry a few at a time and use them for whatever you use a dollar bill for (except vending machines). PS: I am very surprised that the machine spit them out for you!

1. Send them to me 2. Take them to a bank. 3. Give them away instead of candy for Halloween. 4. Sent them to me. 5. Give to people for Christmas Presents.

Spend 'em! I like using them, quicker than counting out $1 notes.

The local coin laundry change machine gives out dollar coins with $10 & $20 bills. I'm not sure the ratio, but there is sign posted, I'll snap a picture. I guess it's a lot easier to dump in 8 $1.00 coins than 32 quarters.

Lol at just Carl's list. :P But yeah I keep any Presidents that I don't have yet and spend the rest. Unless of course you got large dollar coins... :P

Put them in your cup holder. They make great payment at drive throughs with cheap orders like Starbucks. Beats unbuckeling, pulling ones, putting wallet back, then rebuckeling. I buy rolls just to keep in my car

Also great for tollroads iff you don't have an electronic device for paying tolls. (I go through the Chicago toll road once a year. It isn't cost effective to get an EZPASS.) Dollar coins don't blow away in the wind.
